    Tahini Pesto

    We love this unique take on classic pesto! Tahini replaces all of the pine nuts and much of the oil used in the traditional recipe, and lends an unmistakable savory flavor that goes beautifully with your favorite fish, chicken and of course pasta! Even better? You can also swap the basil for any in-season herbs you like, including spinach, parsley or arugula!
    Makes about 1 cup

    Ingredients

    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1/4 cup Joyva Tahini
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
    • 2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
    • Juice from one large lemon
    • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

    Directions

    1. Place the garlic in your food processor and pulse until chopped. Add the tahini, parmesan, basil and lemon juice and process until smooth. With the processor running add the olive oil in a steady stream, processing till smooth and well combined. Serve or store, covered in the fridge till ready to use.
