    Joyva Recipe tahini no bake bars

    Tahini No Bake Bars

    These easy, versatile bars require nothing more complicated than a bowl and a spoon to make! They come together in about 10 minutes and are truly irresistible. And talk about versatile! Pretty much every ingredient can be swapped for your preference, making it possible for the bars gluten-free, dairy-free and even vegan! Scroll to the bottom for suggested substitutes but truly, the sky’s the limit!

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup (1 stick or 8 tablespoons) butter
    • 1 cup Joyva Tahini, divided
    • 1 cup crumbs from your favorite buttery salted crackers
    • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
    • 1 cup white chocolate chips
    • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

    Directions

    1. Line an 8” x 8” pan with wax or parchment paper, leaving an overhang in both directions.
    2. In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, melt the butter and 3/4 cup of the tahini. Remove from heat and add the cracker crumbs and confectioner’s sugar, stirring until well combined. Transfer to your prepared baking pan and use a small angled spatula to press in evenly. Clean and wipe your bowl.
    3. Place the chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup of tahini in your cleaned bowl and return to the top of the pan of barely simmering water. Stir occasionally, until melted, and pour over the crumb layer. Rap the pan on the counter a few times to level, and sprinkle with the flaky sea salt. Refrigerate overnight.
    4. Using your parchment paper “sling”, transfer the bar to a work surface and cut into 16 squares.

    Notes

    You can double the ingredients and make these bars in a 9” x 13” pan.

    Butter can be substituted with margarine or a non-dairy spread.

    White chocolate chips can be substituted with milk, dark, or dairy-free chocolate chips.

    Cracker crumbs can be substituted with anything you like! Graham crackers, chocolate wafer cookies, saltines, corn flakes – just be sure to create enough crumbs to measure 1 cup!
