If you’re not a fan of the sometimes-cloying sweetness of traditional buttercreams and frostings, then this tahini frosting is for you! Easy to make with just a few simple ingredients, you can use this savory-sweet frosting on all your favorite desserts. It’s especially delicious in our Spiced Whoopie Pies and perfect spread on sheet cakes, cupcakes and your favorite cookies too!
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 cups confectioner’s sugar
Pinch of kosher salt
2 – 4 tablespoons milk
Using a stand or hand mixer, beat the tahini, butter, confectioner’s sugar and salt until light and fluffy. Add 2 tablespoons of the milk and beat again. Add more milk, a bit at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
