2026 Certification Statement

Joyva products are Chametz-Free and Kosher for Passover 2026.

For over 115 years, care and pride have been the driving forces behind our family’s dedication to our products. We cherish and are deeply grateful for the role our community has played in making Joyva a centerpiece of holiday traditions. It is not a responsibility we take lightly.

We were disappointed by a recent suggestion that our products may contain chametz, which would make them not Kosher for Passover. This is untrue, as validated by our former and current Rabbis through their Passover kashrut certification process, which includes reviewing verification certificates from suppliers and other certifiers. There is no chametz in any of our products year-round, let alone during Passover.

We are proud to be certified by KOF-K year-round (excluding Passover). Since our confections contain kitniyot, our Passover products have always been certified as Kosher For Passover by a different Rabbinic authority rather than KOF-K. We recognize and respect those who choose not to eat kitniyot during Passover. While chametz-free, our products do contain kitniyot, something we have disclosed on our website and packaging so that every shopper can make an informed decision based on their beliefs and traditions.

As a family-run company whose owners celebrate Passover in their own homes year after year, we deeply value the trust our customers have placed in us for more than a century and are humbled by the important place Jovya products have held on Passover tables. We want to dispel any concern that our products may contain chametz, which they do not. We view our customers as part of the Joyva extended family, and we look forward to continuing to enjoy our shared traditions together year after year.

All of us at Joyva wish you a joyful and meaningful Passover, filled with tradition, family, and blessings. Chag Pesach Sameach.

Thank you,

Richard Radutzky & Sandy Wiener
